I have been made aware that a number of countries who are in the process of joining IFDS will not have received official confirmation that their membership has been approved, and that some countries who are existing members have not yet paid the 2007 Subscription.
With the early deadline for registration at the 2007 IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championship being 1 August, the IFDS does not want to penalise any athlete for the delay in membership of the IFDS or outstanding subscriptions.
In order to alleviate this problem, the IFDS would recommend that the organizing committee accept all registrations. On registration the athletes should be advised that they will only be able to participate in the event if the sailing authority has paid the 2007 RNA Subscription by Thursday 6 September 2007.
