IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championship, 2007,
Single-Person, Two-Person, Three-Person Keelboats
Rochester Yacht Club, Rochester, NY, USA
September 7-15, 2007
Hello Everyone,
The Rochester Yacht Club seems very quiet since the IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championship ended. There is not a day that goes by where the regatta is not a topic of conversation. We all felt that we would be a better club because of this event and there is little doubt that many of us were touched by the wonderful spirit of the competitors and their support teams.
We would like to thank all the competitors, volunteers, RYC members and staff as well as the organizing committee for helping to make the IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championship so successful. As our club is returning back to normal, we hope that each competitor enjoyed their time at the Rochester Yacht Club and racing on Lake Ontario.
We hope the regatta provided great racing, re-kindled friendships and started many new ones. This regatta was a great opportunity to introduce people from far reaches of the world, and brought people both able and disabled closer.
Again, we want to thank each of you for coming and racing from our Club on Lake Ontario and wonderful memories you have provided. These new memories and friendships will be with us all for years to come!
With Warmest Regards,
Keith Burhans
